TAD Tax Parcels

Collin County may be the trendy hotspot and Dallas County may be more famous, but Tarrant County is the biggest part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Weighing in at 1.90 million parcels, the county encompasses a wide variety of communities and towns, in addition to Fort Worth itself. This vast patchwork of urban sprawl and rural charm can be a difficult thing to comprehend, and much of that falls to the Tarrant Appraisal District (TAD). With only 95 full-time appraisers on deck, TAD must work overtime to try and survey every property in the county.

With TAD’s tiny numbers doing an average of 20,000 parcels per person, they cannot dedicate their time to complex or accurate appraisals, instead sticking to outdated history or guesstimate computer models. This leads to unfair taxes, and the only way to correct this error is with property tax protests. Let O’Connor fight TAD and the other appraisal districts for you. A vast property tax protest company, O’Conner, has been in the business of dealing with overzealous taxes for over 50 years. Based in Houston, O’Connor knows how best to deal with everything in Texas.

TAD Total Number of Parcels in District

1.90 million parcels is a staggering number to comprehend. Only surpassed by Harris County in parcel size, the Fort Worth area’s value to Texas is unappreciated. The county has more than just gargantuan size going for it, but it is also a hotbed of sports, entertainment, and especially commerce. While its parcels may not have the overinflated worth of Travis County, each part of the county boasts a charm all its own.

TAD - Total Market Value for All Property

TAD estimated that all of the property in the area was worth a combined $360.14 billion in 2024. The value of the county has more than doubled in the previous decade, as has most real estate in Texas. This growth has been more gradual, and hopefully sustainable, when compared to the spiraling costs of nearby Collin and Denton Counties. As the rising of property value is always a double-edged sword, linear growth may be the best that taxpayers can hope for.

$217.88 billion of the total value was given to single family homes, which have always been the biggest source of value. If the cost of homes increases, it brings up all property values. Home values increased 181.81% in the past decade. $85.10 billion of the total came from commercial property, while multi family homes brought in $35.05 billion. Multi family homes have been quietly rising in value and are helping drive the total up every year.
